Ultra Space Camp: Getting Started with Ultra

Our Getting Started with Blackboard Ultra mission will cover the Ultra course view layout, ways to make your transition into Ultra easier, and how to prepare for liftoff by adding content to your Ultra course.

Ultra Space Camp: Transitioning Your Content to Ultra

Our Transitioning Your Content mission is a 2-hour workshop. The first half will be a guided walkthrough on how to transition your content from Original Course View to Ultra Course view and how to add new content from other sources. The second half will allow you to use what you have learned to continue transitioning content. Learning Technologies will be with you every step of the way for a successful mission.

Ultra Space Camp: Gradebook

Our Gradebook mission will cover an overview of the Ultra Gradebook and how to set up your Gradebook to ensure that you and your students have a successful course flight.

Ultra Support Lab

Need some help? Want to ask questions about Ultra? These open labs are your opportunity to get support with everything Ultra. Note: This is an open support lab and does not count for PDH.You can register for a support lab time, but you do not have to!

Ultra Not-So-Haunted Halloween

Don’t feel haunted by Ultra, it can be a treat! Inspired by Christine Monnier’s “Do One Thing in Ultra” blog posts, try a few simple things to help you get started and take the bite out of the Ultra upgrade.

Come when you can but allow at least 45 minutes to complete 4 activities of your choice and receive 1 hour of PDH credit!

Introduction to Ultra Basics is a video course developed exclusively for College of DuPage faculty. This course provides an overview of Blackboard Ultra. The PDH version is worth one hour of credit and includes deliverables.

Ally Training

Online, Self-Paced

Want to engage your students where they already are? How about empowering students to learn their own way with your content? Blackboard Ally allows students to download alternative formats of your course content.  It also provides feedback on how to make your content more accessible for all students, including students with disabilities. This course will help you learn to use Ally, both as a student and as an instructor.  

Blackboard for New Users

Online, Self-Paced

This 7-module course for new users covers the essentials of Blackboard, including basic navigation, the course menu, availability, communicating with students, and so much more. It is the perfect introduction for the beginner.
